  2.                  What is a Droplet?

  4. A droplet is a small AppleScript application that executes whenever a file (or folder) is dragged and dropped onto it.

  6. What good are they?

  8. Well, you can simultaneously drop a whole lot of documents onto the droplet.  The droplet launches, executes its commands on each of the dropped documents and then quits.

  10. This folder includes two samples that automate the DOS<->Mac line ending conversion.  You can use these droplets to easily and quickly convert hundreds of files.

  12. How do I write my own droplet?

  14. You can use Script Editor to examine and modify these sample droplets.  If you are creating a droplet from scratch, use the “Save As…” command (kind->application) when you are done.
